Mike Mortimer

UPDATE: The details of Mike's funeral are now known- the funeral will be held on Friday 1st November, 3:00pm at Countesthorpe Crematorium, Foston Road, Countesthorpe.

Dear all

It is with regret that I have to inform you that Mike Mortimer passed away on Monday night after a long illness.   Our thoughts are with Roanne, Coralie and the family at this time.

Mike was a massive figure within he society for many years, and influenced many refereeing careers as training officer and as chairman for the Society.

He coached Rob Debney who went on to professional refereeing, Mark Elliott, Rhys Davies and George Richardson (pictured below, with Mike), all of whom went onto work as part of the National Panel, amongst others.  His influence and guidance will be missed.

The funeral will be held on Friday 1st November, 3:00pm at Countesthorpe Crematorium, Foston Road, Countesthorpe.

R.I.P. Mike.
